DA' HELL HAPPENED #66: WWE SmackDown LIVE - October 3, 2017

Hey everyone, and welcome to another edition of "Da' Hell Happened" featuring the review of last night's SmackDown LIVE. This week, the blue brand held its final show before Hell In A Cell this Sunday, and let's just say that it got the fans (at least, me) hyped for Sunday's PPV. So let's not wait anymore, and see what happened this week on SmackDown LIVE.

MATCH OF THE NIGHT: Baron Corbin vs. Tye Dillinger

After every fight for the right to stay in the Intercontinental Title picture, Corbin and Dillinger went one-on-one once again... and Tye Dillinger won the match! Yes, the "Perfect 10" went over Corbin and secured a victory that, though with a rollup, makes him a future contender to the IC Championship. I love the approach SmackDown LIVE is giving to Dillinger, and I can see him IC Champion in 4/5 months.

MVP OF THE NIGHT (HONORABLE MENTIONS): The Usos and The New Day

There's no rivalry going on in the WWE that has the explosiveness and the intensity that the SmackDown Tag Team Championship rivalry has. And in a short, but effective, promo, The Usos and The New Day hyped for the last time their (deserved) Hell In A Cell match and the spotlight they are being given. From the kickoff of SummerSlam to the main event of Hell In A Cell, these two teams have re-defined what the tag team division should be. Glad I'm a wrestling fan to witness this.

MVP OF THE NIGHT: Kevin Owens

Sami Zayn said it to Shane McMahon before McMahon went out to go face-to-face with KO: the former United States Champion is a different person, and he has snapped. He is a possessed and dangerous man, and by the looks of what happened last night, you can tell that is the truth. KO powerbombed Shane through a table, and completely destroyed the Commissioner of SmackDown LIVE, showing that hell is coming in Shane's way. How will this unfold on Sunday? I'm dead curious to see it. If he wins the Hell In A Cell, Owens is the number one man to be the next #1 contender for a World Championship, either on RAW or SmackDown LIVE.

DA' HELL HAPPENED MOMENT OF THE SHOW: Ms. MITB and champion co-exist

I'm starting to think I should re-name this the "Wrong booking of a segment of the show". In the past, you didn't see the WWE Champion and the Mr. Money In The Bank teaming like nothing could happen. Natalya and Carmella are doing that night after night. And I was attentive and saw Natalya completely unware of the presence of Carmella in her back, and Carmella being aware that the champion was unware after making Charlotte Flair tap out, like a cash-in couldn't happen tonight. The story has been told so badly, it took all the credit away from the female MITB briefcase. Now, it's a joke.

And with this I finish this week's DHH. Next week, don't forget that Monday a special edition of DHH will come out with the review of the Hell In A Cell PPV. See you then!
