DA' HELL HAPPENED #7: WWE Monday Night RAW, May 30, 2016
Welcome to this week's edition of Da' Hell Happened. What the hell happened this week on RAW? Let's find out!
Shane McMahon and Stephanie McMahon opened Monday Night RAW. The main theme of the promo was obviously the brand split between RAW & SmackDown. WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day interrupted the McMahons, questioning them if there was a possibility of The New Day splitting up with members going to SmackDown and others staying on RAW. A dance contest took place, and when Stephanie was about to dance, The Vaudevillains entered the stage.
WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day Vs. The Vaudevillains
After the match that was interrupted 2/3 times for ads, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows attacked The New Day, providing a disqualification. An enphatic statement from The Club.
The Usos Vs. Breezango
Yes, Breezango is actually a thing. The Usos defeated Breezango with a rollup. After the match, they went on to attack Golden Truth who were on commentary. Golden Truth showed some team skills and took out Breezango.
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns calls out Seth Rollins
This segment made Rollins look like a fool. He threatened Reigns by running towards the ring and never entering it. Picked up a microphone and didn't say anything. Also both superstars are being booed, and this feud doesn't seem like one with a great future. One optimistic thing: this is not a WM feud. You should've turned Rollins face, WWE. But we all know: Reigns won't turn heel. This feud is destined to be a failure.
United States Champion Rusev Vs. Zack Ryder
The crowd was hot for Ryder the whole match. Rusev picked up the victory with the "Accolade". That submission is better than ever.
Then Rusev cut a promo about being the real American hero on a Memorial Day. Titus O'Neil interrupted the champion, and defended America, attacking Rusev. This feud is on. Very interesting to see O'Neil being booked as a credible challenger. No, even being booked as a challenger for the United States Title. Is this an apology from Vince after suspending him?
In a backstage segment, Stephanie McMahon ripped off Charlotte, calling her a waste of talent after disowning her father last week the way she did.
Enzo & Big Cass Vs. The Dudley Boyz
Enzo is the king of promos, Big Cass is the king of hot tags. It's just sad that they are rising so fast, but a legendary team is falling apart. Still, I'm very happy with the way Enzo and Cass are handling their rising to the main roster. They defeated The Dudleyz after hitting "Rocket Launcher".
John Cena returns to RAW
He's back! The 15-time World Champion returned to RAW on Memorial Day. He silenced the arena with a speech about America and about liberty, and electrified it with a promo about being back on Monday Night RAW! He asked if he still belonged in WWE, talked about the new era, stating that he is staying, and the future must go through him. AJ Styles interrupted Cena. "AJ Styles" "Let's go Cena" echoed in the arena. What a moment! Styles welcomed Cena back, shook hands with him and was interrupted by Anderson & Gallows. It seemed like Cena & Styles formed a temporary team to fight Anderson & Gallows, but guess what? Styles punched Cena and turned on him, joining The Club once again. He came back to attack Cena three times after leaving the ring. Hell AJ is so much better than Face AJ. Welcome back Cena, and here's the future to ya'!
Natalya Vs. Dana Brooke (w/ WWE Women's Champion Charlotte)
After a distraction provided by the champion, Dana won the match with a "Michinoku Driver". After the match, Charlotte and Dana double-teamed Natalya, before Becky Lynch came to aid "Nattie".
Dolph Ziggler Vs. Baron Corbin
A technical wrestling match? Interesting. Dolph equipped properly for the match, only to give Corbin a low blow, and cutting a quick promo saying Ziggler was disqualified, but the loser is still Corbin. This feud was definitely heated a bit more. Well done, Ziggy!
Intercontinental Champion The Miz revealed he is shooting "The Marine 5", but he will update the WWE Universe every week during the shoots via Facebook.
Sami Zayn, Cesaro & Dean Ambrose Vs. Kevin Owens, Alberto Del Rio & Chris Jericho
All Money In The Bank participants were involved in the main event, as a 6-Men Tag Team match took that spot. (Apparently they forgot the 7th spot in the match. The MITB match will only be composed by 6 men. We pay too much attention to details, but they seem to completely forget them.)
Ambrose, Cesaro & Zayn picked up the win after Ambrose hit "Dirty Deeds" on Kevin Owens.
