DA' HELL HAPPENED #60: WWE Monday Night RAW - June 12th, 2017

Hey everyone and welcome to this week's first edition of the "Da' Hell Happened", featuring the review of this week's Monday Night RAW program. The red brand's show was highlighted by a 2-out-of-3 Falls match for the RAW Tag Team Championship, and the return (FINALLY!) of the Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. So let's roll!

RESULTS:

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe were involved in a brawl
Elias Samson def. Dean Ambrose
Cedric Alexander def. Noam Dar
Seth Rollins confronted Bray Wyatt
Apollo Crews def. Kalisto
Sasha Banks, Mickie James & Dana Brooke def. RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax & Emma
Heath Slater & Rhyno def. Intercontinental Champion The Miz & a bear
WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville attacked Rich Swann
Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson def. Enzo Amore & Big Cass
Sheamus & Cesaro (C) vs. The Hardy Boyz in a 2-out-of-3 Falls match for the RAW Tag Team Championships ended in a draw

Neville attacked Rich Swann before their match could begin, and was visibly upset Titus O'Neil called Akira Tozawa "the next WWE Cruiserweight Champion".

MATCH OF THE NIGHT: Sheamus & Cesaro (C) vs. The Hardy Boyz in a 2-out-of-3 Falls match for the RAW Tag Team Championships

Indeed an amazing sight seeing the RAW Tag Team Championship main event RAW in the first time the titles were defended in a 2-out-of-3 Falls match. Sheamus, Cesaro and the Hardy Boyz have proven their story is yet to end, and I think if given the right stipulation they can thrive together in a PPV. The debut of the "Broken" persona could help this storyline a lot, but those are things we leave to the court, and we have to work with what we have.

Cesaro with the "Sharpshooter" locked in Matt Hardy.

MVP OF THE NIGHT: Samoa Joe

Wow. I have never seen anyone walk in Brock Lesnar's direction the way Samoa Joe did last night on RAW, and strike first against "The Beast" with no fear whatsoever. Joe proved once again why he is, in the words of Paul Heyman, "the worse case scenario for Brock Lesnar". If I get to see a segment like this every week until the Great Balls of Fire PPV, I will be super satisfied. Without a doubt, this is a dream match I've been waiting to see for a long time.

Samoa Joe didn't waste much time and got in the face of the "Beast Incarnate" as soon as he could.

DA' HELL HAPPENED MOMENT OF THE SHOW: A bear?

WWE's ratings have dropped significantly. Last night, they were up against the Game 5 of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers (which, by the way, saw my team win their 5th NBA title, but continuing), and what do they do? They put a goddamn bear on television. Worse is that Dean Ambrose and The Miz don't need silly stuff to work against one another, and they still try hard to give them something to work when they can naturally stiff their way into a rematch for the Intercontinental Title. I don't know much about the business, but man, WWE needs to learn that natural way sometimes is the best way.

Wow. It's Dean Ambrose as the bear! Surprising! Wonderful!

And with this I finish this week's RAW "Da' Hell Happened". Tomorrow I will be back for the SmackDown LIVE edition of DHH, which will be the final one before Money In The Bank. See you there!
