DA' HELL HAPPENED #71: WWE SmackDown LIVE - October 17, 2017

Hey everyone, and welcome to another edition of the "Da' Hell Happened" featuring the review of last night's SmackDOwn LIVE. The blue brand's show was highlighted by WWE Champion Jinder Mahal's challenge to Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, and Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens' team being solidified with a victory over Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton. So let's roll!

MATCH OF THE NIGHT: Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens vs. Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura

The main event of this week's SmackDown LIVE featured a tag team match between the team of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, and the team of Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton. After exchanging words with SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan in the beginning of the show, Zayn and Owens found themselves in the receiving end of a match, courtesy of the GM himself. The canadians survived, but it's safe to say, with Shane McMahon returning next week (as announced by Bryan at the end of the show), Owens and Zayn are on a mission to maintain control of their actions.

MVP OF THE NIGHT (Honorable Mentions): Jinder Mahal

So the rumors are true: WWE is going forward with the match between RAW's Universal Champion and SmackDown LIVE's WWE Champion. Jinder Mahal challenged Brock Lesnar to a match at Survivor Series, saying there's no more worthy competition on the blue brand after defeating Randy Orton multiple times, and Shinsuke Nakamura also multiple times. Mahal showed he is a champion that wants a challegne, and what better challenge than the "Beast Incarnate".

MVP OF THE NIGHT: Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens

I think everyone agrees when I say Sami Zayn being a bad guy still feels awkward, and with him not changing much of his moveset and the way he enters the arena, it feels even more awkward. Still, his team with Kevin Owens is picking up momentum, and the returning Shane McMahon promises to have more for these guys to work on.

DA' HELL HAPPENED MOMENT OF THE SHOW: "Hug me. Hold me tight!"

Kevin Owens is fun, isn't he? At the end of the show, Kevin Owens was being hugged by Sami Zayn, and he comes up with "Hug me. Hold me tight!", which is by far one of the funniest phrases ever to be said in WWE.

Monday I will be back for another DHH with the review of Sunday's TLC, that includes Asuka's main roster debut, and the reunion of The Shield. See you then!
