DA' HELL HAPPENED #13: WWE Monday Night RAW & WWE SmackDown Live, September 12/13 2016
Written by: RĂºben Duarte
Hey guys! Welcome to another edition of "Da' Hell Happened" featuring the review of this week's RAW and SmackDown Live. And I gotta be honest with you: SmackDown beat the holy crap out of RAW this week. The quality of the booking, plus the fact it was the first SmackDown after a PPV like Backlash, made it all much more easy for the blue brand this week. With no more time to lose, let's see RAW and SmackDown's MVP, Match of the Show and more.

WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW - SEPTEMBER 12, 2016
MATCH OF THE NIGHT: Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns
For the third consecutive show, Kevin Owens is involved in the match of the night for RAW. Roman Reigns played his part perfectly as well, as both competitors showed great chemistry. It appears that every match Kevin or Roman is involved, it's almost guaranteed it will be the match of the night, or even the match of the week, or even of the month, or even of the year. They are just too good inside the ring. Rusev's return was unexpected, but it makes sense to see him return now than return after his supposed honeymoon: at Clash Of Champions, every title has to be defended.
HONORABLE MENTIONS (MVP OF THE NIGHT): Kevin Owens/Sasha Banks
Both Owens and Banks secured their matches at Clash Of Champions. Owens prevented Roman Reigns from making his WWE Universal Championship defense at the PPV a Triple Threat match, and Banks fixed her rematch for the RAW Women's Title against Charlotte in Indianapolis.
MVP OF THE NIGHT: Nia Jax
Finally, Nia Jax has shown she is a real threat in the RAW's Women's division. What we see in NXT is not false. This is the Nia Jax that we have been waiting for. She attacked Alicia Fox and destroyed the barricade while attacking her. Impressive, to say the least.
DA' HELL HAPPENED MOMENT OF THE SHOW: Jinder Mahal is the man that comes in peace
The man that comes in peace? That is classic WWE. I don't know if anyone else shares the same opinion as I do, but Mahal is destined to fail again. Maybe I'm being too harsh with it, but his signing was a bit random. Someone like Drew Galloway would make more sense than Mahal.
WWE SMACKDOWN LIVE - SEPTEMBER 13, 2016
MATCH OF THE NIGHT: John Cena & Dean Ambrose vs. AJ Styles & The Miz
A main event full of big stars. The Miz's initial attack on James Ellsworth gave him a fire close to the one we saw in his eyes after his confrontation with Daniel Bryan at Talking Smack. This is the Miz that we should be seeing every week. The two top heros versus the two top villains on SmackDown. In the end, Ambrose showed his true colors. If he's a bad guy now, I don't know. But remember when Ambrose attacked Cena weeks before they were going to face each other, and the winner would face Seth Rollins at a PPV? Well, this attack was different. He even asked directly the fans "What? What did I do wrong?". He doesn't give a damn, and that is the Ambrose I like.
MVP OF THE NIGHT: Dean Ambrose
Straight to the point. Doesn't give a damn about anyone else but himself. Ambrose showed he is a threat to Styles' championship, more than Cena did. He looks focused and ready to take the title back at No Mercy.
DA' HELL HAPPENED MOMENT OF THE SHOW: Erick Rowan's sudden return, followed by failure
Oh my god. After weeks of hype on social media, Erick Rowan returned and attacked Randy Orton, only to be hit by an RKO outta nowhere. What was the goal of this segment: give more credibility to an already established Hall of Famer, or hurt Rowan's character even more? Camon.
So this is everything I have to tell you this week. Hope you enjoyed the shows as I did. Next week will be the last edition of RAW before Clash Of Champions, and the first week Heath Slater shows up as a SmackDown superstar. See you next week!
