WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW - October 24, 2016
HONORABLE MENTIONS (MATCH OF THE NIGHT): Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins
Great match, great main event. It was kind of a 2-on-1 Handicap match, and there was no miscommunication or cracks shown between Owens and Jericho, leaving something in the air. The finish was smart, but weird.
MATCH OF THE NIGHT: Cesaro & Sheamus vs. The New Day
Although I have to say that it doesn't make much sense that 6 days before they collide for the Tag Titles at Hell In A Cell they square off against each other on RAW, it was the best and most exciting action of the night. After all, Sheamus and Cesaro can get along, and even though the team has a lot of cracks, this served to show that they are a real threat to the WWE Tag Team champions.

MVP OF THE NIGHT: Chris Jericho
Oh boy. He is 45 years old, been in the WWE for more than 15 years and can still be the most entertaining and the best thing in a 3-hour Monday show. There's no man worthy of the MVP of the Night spot more than Chris Jericho. Who would have thought that the hottest things in the world of wrestling in 2016 are a list and a "broken" character? This is crazy times we live in.

DA' HELL HAPPENED MOMENT OF THE SHOW: Brock Lesnar's segment
Let me just sum it all up: a great mind in the WWE Creative Team had the brilliant idea of having Brock Lesnar appear on RAW in his hometown of Minneapolis, MA, spending a few hundred thousand dollars from Vince's bank account, and to do what? To appear in the city he is idolatred by, seen as a former NCAA Division 1 Heavyweight Champion, and be boo'ed. Not even a 10-year old little kid would think that that is logical. And then blame it on the current champions for the bad ratings and the bad quality of the shows, when the base of the show is a "creative" team full of uncreative minds (and I don't even care if that word doesn't exist) and people that understand nothing about both wrestling and entertainment.
MATCH OF THE NIGHT: WWE World Champion AJ Styles vs. Dean Ambrose
A lot of friends tell me they hate AJ Styles. Logically, I have to hate AJ Styles as well because he is a bad guy on television. But I just can't. Week in, week out, he puts on great matches, whether it is on SmackDown Live, on a SD Live exclusive PPV, on a big PPV, everywhere. His goal is always to have the match of the night, and here it is. Dean Ambrose is also a great competitor, one that I love and don't understand why others hate so much. His character may be a bit different from the crazy one he should portray, but he is simply great. And then there's that additional element called James Ellsworth, that was a decisive factor in this match. No Chin Music to Styles, costing Ambrose the match. It saves Styles for the SS 5-on-5 Elimination match. Smart decision from the creative minds of SmackDown Live, unlike RAW's.
HONORABLE MENTIONS (MVP OF THE NIGHT): Alexa Bliss
Alexa Bliss completely ruined Becky Lynch's return to SmackDown Live. She also spray-painted a yellow line on the champion's back, showing Lynch what she really thinks about her. That's heelish enough to make me consider her as a MVP of the Night, and a very credible threat to Lynch's SmackDown Women's Title reign.
MVP OF THE NIGHT: Randy Orton
"If you can't beat them, you join them.". Those words describe Randy Orton's actions this past Tuesday when he decided to turn his back on Kane by "RKO'ing" him, and helping Bray Wyatt get a win in their No DQ Match. I just can't picture Orton as a Wyatt family member, but I'm invested in this story, and I'm interested to see where this can go. This feud between Orton and Wyatt was not that bad, but it was entering a point where either Orton's credibility as a WWE legend would be damaged, or Wyatt's credibility as a future holder of the WWE World Title would be completely gone.
DA' HELL HAPPENED MOMENT OF THE SHOW: Nikki Bella uses John Cena's "STF"
Well, that was unexpected. And as Daniel Bryan said on "Talking Smack", that was a modified version of John Cena's "STF". A very positive "Da' Hell Happened" moment of the show. This type of things give people something to talk about, and gives Nikki the rightful moniker of "captain" of the SmackDown Live's Women's team for Survivor Series.
And with this, Da' Hell Happened is wrapped up. Next week we'll be back with the fallout of the historical triple main evented Hell In A Cell, and more developments about the three Survivor Series Elimination Matches that will occur on November 20th. See you next week!
