DA' HELL HAPPENED #35: WWE Monday Night RAW & WWE SmackDown Live, March 6/7, 2017

Hey everyone and welcome to another edition of "Da' Hell Happened" featuring the review of this week's RAW and SmackDown Live. The red brand's show was highlighted by the crowning of the new WWE Universal Champion in Goldberg, and the blue brand's show was highlighted by a main event that determined the new #1 Contender for Bray Wyatt's WWE Championship at WrestleMania 33. So let's roll!

WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW - MARCH 6, 2017

MATCH OF THE NIGHT: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville vs. Rich Swann for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

When your division is as poor as they come, and you manage to have the best match of the night within 48 hours, you're doing something right. Neville, you little bastard. These two stole the show, gave the crowd in attendance an amazing match, and once again the Cruiserweight division has the best match of the night, both involving WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville. The final clash with Austin Aries shows this is not a temporary rise from the division, but just the beginning of a great product that we are about to watch from the less than 205-pounds athletes.

Rich Swann cashed-in his rematch clause for the WWE Cruiserweight Title, but was unable to beat the "King Of The Cruiserweights" Neville.

MVP OF THE NIGHT: Brock Lesnar, Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens, The Undertaker

From these four superstars, I can't name one that made a bigger impact on the show. I know The Undertaker made his long-awaited return as we are 4 weeks away from WrestleMania, but let's think about it: Brock Lesnar was able to put Goldberg down for the first time, not only for him, but for any superstar in the last 14 years; Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe appear to be on the same page, and took out Sami Zayn and Chris Jericho respectively just like that. No one made a bigger impact from the rest, so they are all MVP's.

Kevin Owens beat Sami Zayn in dominant fashion.
Undertaker interrupted Braun Strowman, only to be interrupted by Roman Reigns. The "Dead Man" wasn't happy the "Big Dod" called the ring "his yard", and chokeslammed him.
Brock Lesnar laid waist to the new WWE Universal Champion Goldberg.
Samoa Joe put Jericho to sleep on the outside with the "Coquina Clutch" and won the match via count-out.

DA' HELL HAPPENED MOMENT OF THE SHOW: Babyfaces are not meant to be stupid

And again, Da' Hell Happened Moment of the Show happens because of booking issues. In 2017, when your so called best friend helps you retain your title, and 24 hours later is suggesting you to defend your title against him/her, you know she's not your best friend. Bayley was just fine that Banks was requesting a championship shot at WrestleMania. But she's a babyface, and she just showed she's a kid and ignorant by not seeing this. And also Mick was totally fine with it, like Banks didn't cost Charlotte the title, and Charlotte didn't even exist and didn't deserve a title shot more than Banks. You are babyfaces, not stupid and ignorant people. My god.

Sasha Banks defeated Bayley and secured her spot in the RAW Women's Championship match at WrestleMania, also involving Charlotte Flair.

WWE SMACKDOWN LIVE - MARCH 7, 2017

MATCH OF THE NIGHT: Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles

If you are a indy wrestling fan and a WWE fan, this was a dream match for you. And it happened on free television, like Mauro Ranallo said. It's a shame, but in the context of the storylines, with Orton going after Wyatt and Styles having a program with McMahon, it was logical for this match to not happen on a bigger stage like WrestleMania. It wasn't an awesome match, but it made the dream of a lot of wrestling fans a reality. Welcome to SmackDown Live, the A-freakin show!

AJ Styles and Randy Orton battled in a dream match this week on SmackDown Live.

MVP OF THE NIGHT: Randy Orton

He's a master in mind-games. Last week, Randy Orton revealed his real plans after joining the Wyatt Family: destroy the family from the inside. And this week, he secure his last step to have his mission 100% succedeed, taking what's left from Bray Wyatt: the WWE Championship. He had a dream match with AJ Styles, and left victorious of SmackDown Live and with the chance of winning the gold on the "Show of Shows" that is WrestleMania.

Randy Orton secured his spot in the main event of WrestleMania by defeating "The Phenomenal One".

DA' HELL HAPPENED MOMENT OF THE SHOW: No DHH Moment of the Show this week on SmackDown Live

And with this I finish this week's final Da' Hell Happened. Don't forget to read the latest edition about WWE Fast Lane, which was posted on Monday, and also be back next week for more reviews about RAW and SmackDown Live as we head towards WRESTLEMANIA! See you there!
