DA' HELL HAPPENED #36: WWE Monday Night RAW & WWE SmackDown Live, March 13/14, 2017

Hey everyone, and welcome to yet another edition of "Da' Hell Happened" letting you know the best and the worse from this week's Monday Night RAW and SmackDown Live. This week's shows were highlighted by the return of "The Architect" Seth Rollins and a vicious assault by the "Phenomenal" AJ Styles on Shane McMahon, as well as more matches added to the card of WrestleMania. So let's roll!

WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW - MARCH 13, 2017

MATCH OF THE NIGHT: WWE United States Champion Chris Jericho & Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens & Samoa Joe

This week's RAW was very poor in terms of in-ring quality, but this match was able to outstand from the rest of the card due to the star power in it. Is there a more dominant group in the WWE right now than the team of Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens? I don't think so, and they proved just that this week on RAW by decimating the current US Champion Chris Jericho and Sami Zayn. Even though Jericho and Zayn won via DQ, Owens and Joe got the best out of that one by making a statement and declaring their dominance on the "red brand".

Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens got disqualified after continuosly attacking Sami Zayn on the corner.

MVP OF THE NIGHT: Triple H

"The Game" returned this week on RAW after Mick Foley got in the face of his wife, Stephanie McMahon, and attempted to fire her. He joked around with Foley, and was able to play mind games with him and force him to "like his job" by threatening the "Hardcore Legend", reminding him his daughter is training to become a WWE superstar, and his son works at the headquarters in Stamford. At first, Foley accepted it, but then he snapped and took out "Mr. Socko" and hit "Mandible Claw" on Triple H. Hunter looked furious after that, but out comes Seth Rollins who showed his knee is almost healed up... almost. HHH did what he wanted to Rollins and made a statement by viciously attacking "The Architect" and leaving the MVP of the Night.

"The Architect" Seth Rollins returned, but his return was cut short by Triple H.

DA' HELL HAPPENED MOMENT OF THE SHOW: Dana Brooke's moment has finally come... but it's too late.

Finally, Dana Brooke snapped and turned her back on Charlotte Flair after being treated like garbage for months and months. Unfortunately for her, this moment has come too late. It should've happened way before the end of 2016, and now with only a couple of weeks until WrestleMania, it will not feel special anymore if Brooke isn't added to the Women's Title match at WrestleMania. I just have one problem with this: if Brooke is added, then so will Nia Jax be. And when you see it, you got another multiple women match. I'm curiously waiting to see what WWE will do regarding this.

WWE SMACKDOWN LIVE - MARCH 14, 2017

MATCH OF THE NIGHT: Mickie James vs. Alexa Bliss

Repeating what RAW had on Monday, SmackDown Live had poor in-ring quality as well, and a match that should've been for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships was poorly treated, but I'll discuss that on the "Da' Hell Happened Moment of the Show". Still, this match was the best one from the card, and gave Mickie James some credibility as we head towards the multiple women match for the SmackDown Women's Championship at WrestleMania.

Mickie James defeated the SmackDown Women's Champion on SmackDown Live and gets momentum heading into WrestleMania.

MVP OF THE NIGHT: AJ Styles

Without a doubt, the man of the night was AJ Styles. The "Phenomenal One" put the powers in SmackDown Live aware that he will not take lightly what they did to him in the past month. No rematch after being defeated by John Cena at the Royal Rumble and not receiving his proper shot at WrestleMania he earned by defeating Luke Harper a couple of weeks ago. I don't dislike Shane vs. Styles at Mania at all, but when you have the best superstar of last year going up to WrestleMania as the most popular superstar on the entire WWE roster and being cheered and people chanting his name, the least you can give to him is a WWE Championship match at WrestleMania. Just saying.

AJ Styles attacked Shane McMahon in the parking lot and sent a message to the powers of SmackDown Live.

DA' HELL HAPPENED MOMENT OF THE SHOW: The tag team division (almost) gets their main event spotlight

WWE fans and non-NXT followers will not know how good American Alpha actually is. It's a shame Daniel Bryan called them "the best tag team in NXT" only to have them get the gold, not appear for weeks, and then come back to a match that should've been for the titles and was a WrestleMania worthy of a championship match, in the so called "main event spot", and be interrupted 2 times because Shane McMahon was walking around in the backstage only to end up out in the arena and say that AJ Styles got an opponent at WrestleMania. It's a shame the tag team division on SmackDown Live has come to this.

The tag team match between American Alpha and The Usos was interrupted two times because of Shane McMahon.

And with this negative critic I wrap up this week's "Da' Hell Happened". Next week I'll be back to make a review of what happened in the next to last week before WrestleMania. See you there!
