DA' HELL HAPPENED #55: WWE Monday Night RAW - May 22nd, 2017

Hey everyone and welcome to another edition of the "Da' Hell Happened" featuring the review of this week's very poor Monday Night RAW. As I tweeted out, I wasn't able to make it in time to write the "Da' Hell Happened" yesterday about WWE Backlash before the beginning of RAW, so I decided to cancel it and I will compensate tomorrow on the DHH of SmackDown LIVE. This week's RAW featured the debut of "The Drifter", and a block-buster (trying to give some hype to this week's episode) tag team main event match between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, and Bray Wyatt and Samoa Joe. So let's roll!

RESULTS:

Roman Reigns def. Bray Wyatt via DQ
Akira Tozawa def. Ariya Daivari
Elias Samson def. Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose via DQ
Paul Heyman confronted Finn Bálor
Finn Bálor def. Karl Anderson
Sasha Banks def. Alicia Fox
Kalisto def. Apollo Crews
RAW Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy def. Sheamus to choose the stipulation for the RAW Tag Team title match at Extreme Rules - Hardy chose a Steel Cage match
Austin Aries def. Tony Nese
RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss def. Mickie James
Samoa Joe & Bray Wyatt def. Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins

"The Drifter" Elias Samson finally made his in-ring debut on RAW and was very impressive against the Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose.

MATCH OF THE NIGHT: Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt & Samoa Joe

This week's RAW was very poor, not only in the card, but in the in-ring quality itself. However, this was a very cool match in the main event of the show, and I enjoyed it even though it felt like Finn Bálor was missing in the frey.

Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt battle it out in the Tag Team Main Event on RAW.

MVP OF THE NIGHT: Finn Bálor

When wrestling websites and fans in forums say Paul Heyman is a legend and can put anyone over with his verbal skills, they couldn't be more right. After losing clean to Roman Reigns last week, Finn Bálor was confronted by the advocate for the Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman. Heyman told Bálor that, of all the 5 participants in the Fatal 5-Way at Extreme Rules, Lesnar was looking forward to facing Bálor, and considered him the biggest threat of all 5 men. Bálor was great as well with his answers and his message to Lesnar, and after losing so bad against Reigns last week, this couldn't have been better for the leader of the "Bálor Club".

DA' HELL HAPPENED MOMENT OF THE SHOW: "Finn Baylor"

Ah Kurt, it's Finn Bálor, not Finn Baylor. Still best GM of all time. (Skip to 0:32)

And with this I wrap up this week's RAW. Tomorrow I will be back for the DHH of SmackDown LIVE, with the brand new WWE Champion, the modern day MAHARAJA, the one, the only, greatest WWE Champion of all time, Jinder Mahal! See you tomorrow!
