DA' HELL HAPPENED #56: WWE SmackDown LIVE - May 23rd, 2017

Hey everyone and welcome to this week's SmackDown LIVE edition of the "Da' Hell Happened". After a real bad episode of RAW, SmackDown LIVE granted us an amazing post-Backlash edition with a huge star power tag team main event match, a SmackDown Tag Team Championship match and the celebration of the crowning of a new WWE Champion in the modern day "Maharaja"! So let's go!

RESULTS:

Shane McMahon announces the participants for the SmackDown Money In The Bank Ladder match
Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch def. Carmella & Natalya
Sami Zayn def. Baron Corbin
New WWE Champion Jinder Mahal held a Punjabi Celebration
Tyler Breeze def. Jey Uso
Fandango def. Jimmy Uso
SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos def. Breezango to retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championships
Shinsuke Nakamura & AJ Styles def. United States Champion Kevin Owens & Dolph Ziggler

After losing to Sami Zayn for the second time and in record time, Baron Corbin lost it and viciously attacked the "Underdog from the Underground".

MATCH OF THE NIGHT: Shinsuke Nakamura & AJ Styles vs. United States Champion Kevin Owens & Dolph Ziggler

Is there any doubt as to what is the match of the night? I mean, look at the star power we got in this huge main event tag team match. Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler. Nothing could be better than this. Also in this match, fans we're able to see some dream scenarios, including Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles, and Shinsuke Nakamura and Kevin Owens. If this didn't show you why SmackDown LIVE is the better brand, I don't know what can.

Shinsuke Nakamura prepares to unleash the final "Kinshasa" and win the match.

MVP OF THE NIGHT: No MVP of the night

To be honest with you, Baron Corbin, Jinder Mahal, The Usos, Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles could all be the winners of the night, but why choose one or two when we have five of them?

After losing twice in singles competition, The Usos requested to defend the titles against Breezango, and they were successful.

DA' HELL HAPPENED MOMENT OF THE SHOW: Randy Orton is nowhere to be found

If a team of brothers would have distracted me and cost me my title to a first-time champion, I would be on the next show to get some revenge right away. Orton was nowhere to be found after losing the WWE Championship to Jinder Mahal with a distraction from the Singh Brothers, and that was a bit weird.

Jinder Mahal held a "Punjabi Celebration" after winning the WWE Championship.

And with this I finish this week's "Da' Hell Happened". Next week I will be back for the review of the final RAW before Extreme Rules, and the second SmackDown LIVE under the "Era of the Maharaja"! See you there!
