DA' HELL HAPPENED #67: WWE Hell In A Cell 2017
Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of the "Da' Hell Happened" featuring the review of last night's WWE Hell In A Cell PPV. A very brutal and barbaric structure was part of the initial and the final match, with The Usos and The New Day fighting over the SmackDown Tag Team Championships, and Shane McMahon avenging his family's name against Kevin Owens. Let's see what happened last night at SmackDown LIVE's exclusive PPV.
MATCH OF THE NIGHT: Both Hell In A Cell matches
After watching both Hell In A Cell matches that took place last night, I can't name one better.
The New Day vs. The Usos was barbaric and vicious. Each team showed that, not only did they want to leave as champions, but they wanted to destroy the other team and leave the other team in a pile of blood and pain. There were moments of this match that I couldn't keep up with, seeing how vicious and mean they were to each other. I also think both teams cemented their legacies as two of the best tag teams ever in the WWE, and having one of the best rivalries of the last decade.
Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens was risk-taking and shocking. At one point, I thought Kevin Owens was going to be Shane McMahon and dive from the top of the cell, but Shane climbed up and, for 5+ minutes, people held their breathe, the fans' hearts beating at a fast pace, as both man applied numerous suplexes and other moves to each other. In the end, Shane did his expected high-risk move, and Sami Zayn shocked everyone with his heel turn, which will be the catalyst for a better career for him on SmackDown LIVE.
MVP OF THE NIGHT: The Usos, The New Day, Shane McMahon, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn
Not that The Usos and Kevin Owens were not superior to their fellow opponents in their respective Hell In A Cell matches, but I have to praise everyone for their performances inside the demonic structure. Also Sami Zayn shocked the world, making the "main event" for himself and letting everyone with their mouths opened in shock as he made his heel turn.
DA' HELL HAPPENED MOMENT OF THE NIGHT: Kevin Owens kicks out using the rope in a Falls Count Anywhere match?
Big fail. 5 minutes before, the referee didn't force Shane to let go of a submission after Kevin Owens reached the bottom rope. Then, he allows Owens to kick out of a pinfall using his leg in the rope. After all, I thought this was a Falls Count Anywhere Hell In A Cell match, and reaching the rope would do nothing to break a submission or kick out of a pinfall.
Tomorrow I will be back for another DHH with the review of RAW. Until then, stay awesome guys!
