MATCH OF THE NIGHT (HONORABLE MENTION): AJ Styles vs. Sami Zayn vs. Baron Corbin

An amazing Triple Threat main event full of star power finished SmackDown LIVE. The scenario of having AJ Styles vs. Sami Zayn is simply mind-blowing. SmackDown LIVE got huge with the acquisition of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, and now they will roll. Poor WWE Championship, but the booking was just too bad for people to invest in it until Payback.

In the main event, AJ Styles, Sami Zayn and Baron Corbin battled to determine the new #1 contender for the United States Championship. The winner of the championship match at Payback (Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho) will head to SmackDown and defend the title there.

MATCH OF THE NIGHT: The Usos (C) vs. American Alpha for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships

The tag team division on SmackDown LIVE not only needed star power and the acquisition of The New Day and with the Shining Stars acting differently than they did on RAW, but also matches like these, not only on PPV's but also on a weekly basis. The Usos and American Alpha have proven they have chemistry inside the ring, and this week was no exception. A match full of drama and near-falls that gave the fans that feeling that any of those two teams could walk out of Boston as the champions. In the end, The Usos showed how dominant they have become. I'm really looking forward to seeing this new and reinvigorated tag team division. Also, I didn't think Shining Stars would become an established team, but SmackDown LIVE might be the place they achieve that status.

The Usos defended the SmackDown Tag Team Championships against American Alpha in a fast-paced match.

MVP OF THE NIGHT (HONORABLE MENTIONS):

The Usos: An amazing tag team match helped establish this team even more than they already were. WrestleMania is in the past, and the future looks very bright for this team and for the tag team division.

Charlotte Flair: Being a 4-time WWE Women's Champion, Charlotte Flair is a name everyone knows in the Women's scenario in WWE. Her acquisition for the "blue brand" might be the biggest one, and is going to help the Women's division after the losses of top names like Mickie James and their biggest star Alexa Bliss. It's great to see new faces on different days, and this will help WWE and the fans will be more invested seeing new scenarios on both shows.

After Tamina made her presence felt on SmackDown LIVE, "The Queen" Charlotte Flair joined the SmackDown Women's division.

MVP OF THE NIGHT: AJ Styles

After seeing Sami Zayn and the United States Champion Kevin Owens head to SmackDown LIVE, AJ Styles showed the recent acquisitions to the "blue brand" who runned that show, who was the face of the brand and who helped build it and elevate it. The fans chanted "AJ Styles" all over that arena, which is not something new but clears everyone out that Styles is the top full-time babyface in the brand and probably in the whole company. The "Phenomenal One" went on to defeat two amazing stars in Baron Corbin and Sami Zayn to win the right to face the United States Champion, who will be Kevin Owens or Chris Jericho, after Payback.

On a sidenote, Shinsuke Nakamura's recent debut and Styles' place on top of the brand is a scenario everyone loves to see. Who's not looking forward to seeing those two go at it?

AJ Styles won the Triple Threat main event to guarantee a shot at the United States Championship.

DA' HELL HAPPENED MOMENT OF THE SHOW: Low card stars from RAW head to SmackDown LIVE and seem to have an opportunity right away

Can I just say SmackDown LIVE is magical in places RAW can't be? What RAW can't do, SmackDown LIVE is the best. Jinder Mahal and The Shining Stars are my biggest examples. Mahal was featured on a match against Mojo Rawley, and quickly got a good spot in the show by appearing on "Talking Smack" and being given the mic to express his feelings about what he wants to do moving forward. Mahal is definitely going to be featured regularly from now on. The Shining Stars quickly made an impact by attacking American Alpha and securing their place in the SmackDown Tag Team division. They made a bigger impact on their first night on SmackDown LIVE than they did in their entire run on RAW. "The Land Of Opportunity" is not only a trademark but it is the theme of the "blue brand" and the truth about what the brand does for people that are not treated well in other places.

The Shining Stars head to SmackDown LIVE and quickly made an impact by attacking former SmackDown Tag Team Champions American Alpha.

And with this I wrap up this week's editions of "Da' Hell Happened". Next week I will be back to review the first week of RAW and SmackDown LIVE' new shows with new superstars. See you there!
