DA' HELL HAPPENED #47: WWE SmackDown LIVE - April 25, 2017

Hey everyone and welcome to another edition of "Da' Hell Happened" featuring the review of this week's SmackDown LIVE. The blue brand's show was highlighted by a Tag Team Beat the Clock challenge and a SmackDown Women's Championship match that main evented the show. So let's roll!

RESULTS:

Shinsuke Nakamura and Dolph Ziggler scrapped to kick off SmackDown LIVE
AJ Styles def. Baron Corbin
American Alpha def. The Colons in a Beat the Clock challenge match
Rusev demanded a championship match at WWE Money In The Bank
WWE Champion Randy Orton def. Erick Rowan (No DQ Match)
Breezango def. The Ascension in a Beat the Clock challenge match
Naomi (C) vs. Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship ended in a no contest

Breezango beat the time American Alpha set with 2:37 in the clock, becoming #1 contenders for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

MATCH OF THE NIGHT: Naomi (C) vs. Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women's Championship

This week's SmackDown LIVE main event that featured the SmackDown Women's Championship match between Naomi and Charlotte Flair was a match that started a bit slower than expected, but after some time it became clear that those women were going to tear the house down. Near-falls, finishers, quality moves, it became a good match. The interference was smart, but I still want to see Naomi and Charlotte Flair go at it once again in a full match.

Naomi and Charlotte Flair main evented SmackDown LIVE with the SmackDown Women's Championship on the line.

MVP OF THE NIGHT (HONORABLE MENTIONS):

Jinder Mahal: The new #1 contender for the WWE Championship stole the WWE Title belt from Randy Orton, but looked very strong and a man capable of taking the title away from "The Viper" at Backlash.

Breezango: SmackDown LIVE is in need of big tag teams. The acquisition of The New Day will certainly help the tag team division, but all of the teams on SmackDown LIVE just need the right booking to become a top tag team and become an established tag team. Breezango got that booking and now they are going for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at Backlash. I want to see their feud with The Usos roll.

With a little help of the "Bollywood Boyz", Jinder Mahal took out Randy Orton and stole the WWE Championship.

MVP OF THE NIGHT: The whole SmackDown LIVE women's division

Although some women that came to SmackDown LIVE got opportunities and became top stars like Alexa Bliss, some were as down as they come, and needed the right booking to be established. In that list comes Carmella and Natalya. Tamina is not included because Tamina was out of WWE due to injury and was not considered into either the RAW or the SmackDown LIVE roster. With the creation of a stable in Carmella, Natalya and Tamina, these three women made an impact by attacking Naomi and Charlotte and setting a position on the division. Now, we'll have the possibility of watching Charlotte Flair as a babyface, and new faces having TV time on the blue brand. They're all winners for this week.

Carmella, Natalya and Tamina made an impact by interfering in the SmackDown Women's Championship main event, attacking both Naomi and Charlotte Flair.

DA' HELL HAPPENED MOMENT OF THE SHOW: No DHH moment this week

And with this I wrap up this week's final Da' Hell Happened. I will be back on Monday with the review of Sunday's WWE Payback, Tuesday with the review of RAW and Wednesday with the review of SmackDown LIVE. See you there!
